Hyderabad: Three defendants in the TRS MLA poaching case have challenged the Supreme Court on Tuesday and have asked for their release. The Supreme Court will hear the case on November 4.
Cyberabad police have arrested the three, who are agents of the BJP, for trying to buy four TRS MLAs offering huge sums of money. The ACB Special Court dismissed their remand and released them, arguing that the police had not followed the Supreme Court’s guidelines on the case.
The police then filed a criminal amendment petition to the High Court, after which Judge C Sumalatha quashed the ACB Special Court order and directed the three accused to surrender before the Cyberbad Police Chief and asked the police to refer them to the same magistrate. in judicial custody on remand.
Meanwhile, High Court Judge B Vijaysen Reddy heard a petition filed by the BJP asking the CBI or the Special Investigation Unit to investigate the case and passed an interim order directing the police to suspend the ongoing investigation into the case. case. He posted the matter until Nov. 4 for the next hearing.
Now, the defendants have appealed to the Supreme Court challenging their arrest.
