The 76th National Senior Swimming Championships will feature about 500 swimmers and more than 100 officials from all over the country

Hyderabad: The Telangana Swimming Association will host the 76th National Senior Swimming Championships at the GMC Balayogi Stadium Aquatic Center in Gachibowli from July 2-5.
About 500 swimmers and more than 100 officials from all over the country will take part in the event. The elite of Indian swimming – including Olympians Sri Hari Natraj, Sajjan Prakash and Mana Patel – will take to the field.
The event is significant as it is an official qualifying event for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the final qualifying event for the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. It also serves as a qualifying event for the Junior World Championships to be held in Netanya, Israel.
The Telangana men’s team will be headed by Suryanshu Basa and the women’s team by Vritti Agarwal. A total of 22 swimmers (11 male and 11 female) will swim for the state, coached by Ayush Yadav and John Siddique. The four-day event will feature 42 events for men and women.
