On Wednesday, Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy inaugurated the 10,000-metric-ton warehouse at a cost of Rs 8.4 million in Sikandarpur village, Bhingal Mandal.
Nizamabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy said the successful implementation of welfare schemes such as farmers Rythu Bandu and Dalit Bandhu in Telangana has drawn national attention and people now want these schemes to be implemented in their state because brilliantly.
Speaking after the inauguration of a 10,000-metric-ton warehouse at a cost of Rs 8.4 million in Sikandarpur village in Bhingal Mandal on Wednesday, the minister said the people of neighboring Andhra Pradesh have been openly demanding the implementation of the Telangana scheme in their state.
Under Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s initiative, the state’s arable land area and food production have tripled in the past eight years. He reminded that in order to store grain in advance, warehouses with a capacity of hundreds of thousands of metric tons were built. In the Balkonda constituency, there used to be no warehouses but now a warehouse with a capacity of 40,000 metric tons has been built at a cost of Rs. 250 crore.
