Sangaredy: The stage was set for the two-day annual Mothi Matha Jatara held at Upparpally Village, Zaheerabad Mandal.
Thousands of people, especially tribal people from the states of Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra are expected to attend the festival. The newlyweds pray to Goddess Marigamma Mothi for her blessings.
At the same time, the heads of various departments are actively deploying to ensure the peaceful progress of Jatala. An additional transformer was installed to supply the power as directed by Collector A Sharath.
Jatara will open on Thursday. Finance Minister T Harish Rao and others will visit the temple on Friday. TSRTC will operate special buses from Zaheerabad.
