Mahababad: Thanks to the Dharani portal, a decade-long land problem in Narayanapuram village, Kesamudram mandal in the district, was resolved in just six weeks. To date, 225 farmers have received pattadar passes for 484.03 acres of land.

The village has a total of 1827.12 mu of land and was established as an income village on May 31, 2018, with 43 investigation numbers. However, due to some issues, the new Revenue village and its survey numbers are not visible in the online income records.

In addition, a particular problem arose with six survey numbers covering an area of 1420.12 acres, which were originally patta numbers, which were later notified under the forest and subsequently dereserved, and traded through registration in 1963.

However, entries in “pahanies” continue to exist under the name Forest, and landowners (farmers) have been reflected under occupier’s for many years. Among the more than 800 farmers in these 6 survey numbers, only some of them were able to get the physical (old) pattadar pass book.

After transplantation of village data in May 2022, the government itself uploaded farmers’ applications in Dharani TM 33 in camp mode, considering the large number of farmers’ interests involved.

Notification periods, eKYC requirements, fees are waived upon approval by the Chief Secretary (CS) to expeditiously facilitate these requests.

“Following this, notifications are generated for applications received, inquiry reports are obtained from the site, validated against entries in available PPB copy/’pahanies’, entitlement investigation details available and processed. Of which, processed (approved ) filed 366 applications covering 688.05 acres of land,” District Collector K Shashanka told Telangana today.

“Applications from all farmers in these six survey numbers were processed with copies of the old PPB/‘pahani’ entries. To enable new PPB generation for these approved cases, a special camp was set up in the village to Mobilize applications under the GLM module while completing the eKYC procedure.

The remaining 579 acres belong to more than 424 owners who claim ‘Sadabainama’ and others who do not have any documents,” he said, adding that they are verifying the documents of the current owners to establish the chain of title and process their Property. Claim hereunder.

“Long-pending issues of a large number of farmers are dealt with in a time-bound manner through the Dharani portal under the direction of higher officials, which largely decentralizes hundreds of farmers due to the flexibility of the Dharani app to handle a large number of issues Among others, a single application by farmers through the newly launched TM 33 (PDC) module can address multiple issues such as name changes, scope corrections, changes in land nature/type,” said Shashanka.

Validation and further processing of applications will take place over the next three weeks since bulk applications were uploaded at the end of September 2022.

Approved applicants are immediately allowed to apply under the GLM and generate a PPB with approval within a week, the official said.

MPTC Dharavath Ravi said the unreserved land was surveyed in June 2021 after a long struggle.

“Since the farmers were denied ‘Rythu Bandhu’, we met with CS and other officials and submitted memos several times. The village was merged into Kesamudram mandal in 2018 from Chinnamupparam income village of Nellikudur mandal.

The total land area of the village is 1,827.12 mu (1,403 mu of unreserved land, 202 mu of government-allocated land, and 222 mu of private patta land).

“From 1959 to 2017, without any problem, the farmers have old passbooks. A delegation of 1,200 farmers from our village filed a statement at the Office of the Chief Commissioner of the Land Administration (CCLA), requesting for the 1,827.12 Acres of woodland issued pattadar pass for which the Forestry Department has provided a No Objection Certificate (NOC), ” he said.
