A Nigerian national suspected of trafficking cocaine has been arrested by detectives from the Liquor Excise Service.

Hyderabad: A Nigerian national suspected of trafficking cocaine was arrested by detectives from the Liquor Excise Service on Saturday. Officers seized 178 grams of cocaine from him.
According to T Laxman Goud of SHO Hayathnagar P&E Station, Godwin Ifeanyi (32) from Nigeria, who lives in Vanasthalipuram of the city, bought cocaine from some people in Bengaluru and sold it to customers for Rs. 10,000 per gram.
Inquiries revealed that he had overstayed and had fraudulently obtained around 400 SIM cards in the past three months to carry out illegal activities.
According to specific information, Hayathnagar P&E officers together with the state task force arrested him in Vanasthalipuram while he was in possession of the drug and was going to hand it over to some clients.
He had previously been arrested by Dhoolpet Liquor and Excise officers in a drug case.
