Hyderabad: Principal Secretary A Santhi Kumari has directed district collectors to take steps for the successful implementation of the second phase of the ‘Kanti Velugu’ scheme which is scheduled to start on January 18.
The chief secretary held a review meeting on the Kanti Velugu plan with the collectors via video conference on Friday, asking them to implement the second version of the Kanti Velugu plan better than the previous version.
She informed that, so far, approximately 1.5 million pairs of glasses have been distributed to all primary care centers and urban centres.
She said a task force of as many as 1,500 people had been formed to make the show run smoothly.
The chief secretary asked officials to launch a massive awareness program to educate people about the benefits of the program. Efforts to provide quality services to the people.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Rizvi and Commissioner Sweta Mohanty, Municipal Administration Director Satyana Rayana and other officials attended the teleconference.
