Telangana’s star shooter Esha Singh takes gold in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol Trial 1 (T1) Group A shooter competition

Hyderabad: Telangana’s star striker Esha Singh clinched the gold medal in the Group A marksmanship in the women’s 10m air pistol Trial 1 (T1) competition at the Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi on Friday.
Esha Singh won the gold medal in her event beating Karnataka’s Divya TS 16-14. Earlier, she topped the qualifying round with 581 points, then finished second behind Divya in the ranking round. Yashaswini Singh Deswal from Haryana took the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Sarabjot Singh beat his state teammate Shiva Narwal 17-11 to win the men’s gold. Arjun Das of the Railway Company won the bronze medal.
Akhil Sheoran emerged victorious in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Position Trials 2 (T2) Group A shooters, overcoming a challenge by Swapnil Kusale 17-11 in the gold medal match.
In the junior competition, Rajasthan’s Amit Sharma (men’s 10m air pistol), Chandigarh’s Sainyam (women’s 10m air pistol) and Maharashtra’s Vedant Nitin Waghmare (men’s 3P) were the winners of the day the winner.
