Hyderabad: This Sankranti festival, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has caused a stir in Andhra Pradesh with huge colorful banners and billboards appearing in many parts of the state.
Many fences and banners have been erected along main arterial roads, national highways, major junctions in East Godavari, Srikakulam, Krishna and Guntur areas to express Sankranti of BRS party leaders and workers desire. Hoardings were also installed in Yanam, Kothapeta, Kadiyam, Mummidivaram, Kakinada, Mukkumala and elsewhere.
As Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao established the BRS Andhra Pradesh department and announced former IAS officer Thota Chandrashekhar as head of the state department, curious discussions arose among young, old and all sectors of society. The BRS meeting in Khammam on January 18, attended by several state leaders, was also a hot topic.
Returnees from Hyderabad discussed and sought their views on BRS’ involvement in national politics and the prevailing political environment. Several videos of such discussions were shared on different social media platforms.
