Hyderabad: Ahead of the upcoming Ramzan, Sri Rama Navami and Hanuman Jayanthi festivals, City Police Commissioner CV Anand on Tuesday held a video conference with all officials and issued instructions to ensure the festival ends peacefully.
To avoid inconvenience to worshipers and commuters, Anand emphasized crowd monitoring and traffic management at religious sites, and directed officials to remain vigilant and increase visible policing for a swift response. Joint inspections with other departments are also authorized along the parade route.
In addition, police station officials were instructed to work longer hours during the festive season. The commissioner also stressed the need to keep a close eye on hate mongers who make inflammatory posts on social media.
The instructions were to open a case and expedite notification to the perpetrators. He urged public security officers to eat less millet and develop the habit of exercising every day.
