Online Google Searches for ‘Elephant Whisperer’ Skyrocket 8,164% Worldwide

New Delhi: Online searches on Google for “The Elephant Whisperer” surged 8,164% worldwide after it won Best Documentary Short at the 95th Academy Awards, a report on Friday showed.
Global online searches for “Mudumalai National Park” soared 246% after “The Elephant Whisperer” won an Oscar, according to findings from African media company Celeb Tattler.
“After making history at this year’s Oscars, The Elephant Whisperer has seen a huge boost in online searches. Not just in Hollywood, but around the world,” said a spokesperson for Celeb Tattler.
“The film, released last year to an unheard-of 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, was praised for its riveting narrative. Now, after winning the ‘Documentary Short’ category at this year’s Oscars, it The profile of the film has been elevated far beyond its initial release,” it added.
Also, the film’s producer, Guneet Monga, has gained popularity for the award-winning documentary, gaining nearly 30,000 new fans since the ceremony.
Kartiki Gonsalves’ directorial role also received due attention, as her Wikipedia page views surged by more than 1,25,000 after the Oscars.
Additionally, the report mentions that her Instagram account gained more than 25,000 followers, almost doubling overnight.
Meanwhile, online searches for “Naatu Naatu” on Google topped the global scale after the mega-hit from the Telugu blockbuster “RRR” won Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards, according to a report. Soared 1,105%.
