Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao visited Nanded on Sunday to see more leaders from different political parties in Maharashtra join Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
Among them were former MLA and former National Congress Party Kisan Cell chairperson Shankar Anna Dhondge, former MP Haribhau Rathore, former MLA Harshavardhan Jadhav, former MLA Dr. Vasanth Rao Bonde, Nagnath Ghisewad, Dalit leader Suresh Gaikwad, Yashpal Bhinge and others.
Several Zilla Parishad-level leaders also attended the gathering.
Earlier, the Chief Minister arrived in Nande and went to the residence of former Kandal provincial MP Shankar Ana Dongi and from there to the venue.
Before speaking, Chandrashekar Rao paid tribute to great marathoners including Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Basaveshwara, Dr. BR Ambedkar, Anna Bhau Sathe, Mahatma Phule and Ahilyabai Holkar.
