Hyderabad: A sense of relief, with big smiles everywhere, friendly banter and some eagerness to pack up and get home is prevalent among the Intermediate students.
The mid-level exam ended on Wednesday, and dozens of students who stayed up all night were all excited. In almost all centres, the scene was the same as the end of the main exams and the students were relieved from the stress of preparing and sitting their exam papers. Those who completed their exams today were seen packing their bags and leaving their hotels, eager to go home to bus and railway stations in Telangana.
This year, several students experienced anxious moments as they had to sit 100% of the syllabus for their Intermediate exams for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Over the past two school years, the intermediate syllabus has been cut by 30% due to the pandemic, with exams covering 70% of the syllabus. Given their internal assessment scores during the pandemic, this is the same batch that was marked “pass” on the X scale.
A total of 4,17,525 students registered and 4,02,630 sat for the Intermediate 2nd Grade Chemistry Paper-II and Business Paper-II exams on Wednesday. Four cases of medical malpractice were recorded on Wednesday – two in Mancherial and one in Vikarabad and Medchal districts.
The short essay exam will end on April 4th.
