Hyderabad: The farewell ceremony for the three-day ‘Cybercrime and Cyberlaw Awareness’ program was held on Wednesday for MCR HRD’s 30 directly recruited junior civil judges.
DGP Anjani Kumar, who attended the farewell ceremony, said 50 percent of the crimes reported on any given day were cybercrime. “Cybercriminals are located in faraway countries, use proxy servers to commit crimes, and it takes a lot of money to solve crimes and bring criminals to justice,” he said.
Telangana CID is a nodal agency for schemes organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Another Director-General (CID), Telangana Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, said the main purpose of the training is to impart knowledge about cybercrime, cyberlaw, social media related crimes and skills to deal with them. “These officers were trained on various topics related to cybercrime prevention and investigation, as well as cyber law,” he said.
