Hyderabad: Optimistic about the great success of the two conferences held in Nanded, BRS has now decided to expand its presence in Maharashtra. It also has big plans for Odisha, where it will soon open a party office. Work is also underway at party offices in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Aurangabad, with signs that Madhya Pradesh is next.
The party is now setting up committees in all 288 assembly constituencies in the neighboring state, after Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced that BRS will contest local body elections in Maharashtra.
In a brainstorming meeting with the leaders of the peasant unions who joined the BRS on Saturday, he was told that he had given them specific instructions to ensure the party’s victory over at least 9-10 Zilla Parishads and to demonstrate the party’s Powers of the State. The Chief Minister directed them to establish BRS farmers’ units, women’s sections and youth and student sections in all constituencies.
In conjunction with the establishment of a committee, a village branch should also be established. He said the BRS party flag should be flown in all villages and the party’s agenda should be presented to the people for wide discussion. “The BRS party office will be set up in Mumbai and several buildings are being inspected. Apart from Mumbai, buildings are being identified for the party’s offices in Pune, Nagpur and Aurangabad,” Chandrashekhar Rao said.
Impressed with the agenda and policies of the BRS, many poets and artists volunteered different songs and stage programs. He said party policies must be printed in Marathi for distribution among the people. “If Devendra Fadnavis implements Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and provides free water and electricity, I will congratulate him instead of stepping into Maharashtra. I will go to Madhya Pradesh,” said Chandrashekhar Rao.
