Hyderabad: Earlier reports said WhatsApp was working on the ability to lock down individual chats. This feature will allow you to lock specific chats and hide them. Chats can be locked with a passcode, fingerprint, or Face ID, and you can hide chats separately from unlocked chats. Now, new reports are circulating on the Meta-owned online platform that it is working on a redesign of the Android version.
Meta plans to update the app’s interface to make it easier for users to access chat, calls, communities, and settings, the report said. Therefore, WhatsApp is designing a bottom navigation bar for the Android version, similar to the iOS WhatsApp design. Currently, in the WhatsApp Android version, we can see a navigation bar at the top with three options: Status, Chat, and Call. When the update rolls out, the navigation version will drop down to five options: Status, Calls, Chat, Communities, and Settings. Previously, it was reported that the Meta-owned platform was being updated to allow users to edit sent messages.
