San Francisco: Meta-owned WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to share their status updates to Facebook Stories without leaving WhatsApp.
Earlier, users could share status updates on Facebook Stories, but every time they posted something new, they had to go through the extra step of manually sharing the update, according to WABetaInfo.
But now, thanks to this new feature, when the option is enabled, the process of certain status updates that the user chooses may happen automatically.
In WhatsApp’s status privacy settings, users will reportedly find a new option “Share my status updates between my accounts,” where they can add their Facebook account.
Also, the report mentions that the option will be optional and disabled by default.
If users want to share certain status updates to Facebook stories without leaving WhatsApp, users will be able to enable this option in the status privacy settings.
Additionally, the report states that this feature will allow users to save time and effort when manually sharing their status updates with Facebook Stories without leaving WhatsApp.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature called “Audio Chat,” which will be available in conversations in a future update of the Android app.
A new wave icon will be added to the chat header, allowing users to initiate an audio chat, and additionally, users will see a red button to end an ongoing call.
