Hyderabad: Abdullapurmet police arrested a chain snatcher and recovered gold chains weighing three trusts and a bicycle from him, police said on Saturday.
The person arrested was V.Shiva Kumar (29), a financier from Yadadri-Bhongir. According to police, Shiva Kumar targeted women walking alone in secluded settlements and took their gold jewelry under the pretense of dropping them off at their destination.
Also on Friday, he snatched the gold chain from a Balamma in Abdullapurmet.
Based on her complaint, Abdullapurmet police opened a case and arrested him.
