Paint company fire, suspected to have started after a small explosion
Hyderabad: A fire broke out at a paint company in Malapur on Wednesday afternoon. No casualties were reported in the incident.
According to fire officials, the fire started at the paint company around 3:45 p.m. and three fire trucks from a nearby fire station were initially called to the scene. Later, ten more fire engines were dispatched, noting the ferocity of the blaze. The fire was raging, and the house was billowing with smoke.
Firefighters battled the blaze for about five hours before bringing it under control. The fire is suspected to have started after a small explosion.
Following the incident, panic prevailed in the immediate area and people moved to safer areas. GHMC teams were also called to the scene to help firefighters.
Meanwhile, Rachakonda police chief DS Chauhan arrived at the scene and oversaw firefighting efforts. He asked company management to install firefighting equipment on their premises.
