Hyderabad: Akira Nandan, son of Pawan Kalyan and Renu Desai, surprised everyone by debuting in the industry as a music composer rather than an actor. The 19-year-old composed the music for a short film called “Writer’s Block”.
Actor Adivi Sesh used his Twitter account to congratulate the team in a post. Calling Akira his “favorite kid,” Sesh shared a link to the short film, adding that it’s a new concept.
“Proudly sharing this new concept short film #WritersBlock. Directed by my super darling talented Karthikeya. Music from my favorite kid, Akira Nandan. (Sound) talented Manoj Rishi. Very very cool. While some fans were surprised that the son of the power star chose music over acting, many appreciated his efforts to explore his interests and wished him the best.
Directed by Karthikeya Yarlagadda, the four-and-a-half-minute action short focuses on the challenges writers face and how they overcome obstacles. Phani Madhav served as cinematographer on the film, while Ramdas choreographed the action sequences. Abhilash Sunkara and Manoj Rishie star, while Akira is responsible for the soundtrack and background score.
Interestingly, Manoj Rishie, who plays one of the lead roles in the short, is the son of filmmaker Trivikram, while director Karthikeya is the son of producer Shobu Yarlagadda of “Baahubali” fame.
