Hyderabad: Shankar Laxmi, a divisional officer of the TSPSC, appeared at the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the agency’s investigation into alleged illegal monetary transactions in a paper leak scam.
The ED has issued notices to Shankar Laxmi, a departmental officer in charge of the classified part of the TSPSC, from whom the test papers were allegedly obtained, and another Satyanarayana, an assistant departmental officer.
Shankar Laxmi appeared before emergency department officials on Thursday. Officials reportedly questioned her about the work of the classified section, the protocols followed to preserve the test papers and how the papers were leaked.
The ED has registered an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) and launched an investigation based on the report and complaints about large sums of money changing hands.
The ED has also filed a petition with the Nampally Court seeking permission to interrogate two suspects, Praveen Kumar and Rajasekhar Reddy. The court sent notice to the defense of the pair on Wednesday.
