TSPEJAC agree to call off their proposed indefinite strike after Telangana govt guarantees 7% renovation (salary adjustment)
Hyderabad: The TS Power Employees Joint Action Committee (TSPEJAC) on Saturday agreed to call off their indefinite strike from April 17 after the state government guaranteed a 7 per cent renovation (pay adjustment).
After a marathon meeting, the JAC signed papers accepting a 7% adjustment (base salary increase), merging the dear allowance with the basic effective April 1, 2022, and a service-based salary increase sanction, making The effective increase in wages amounts to about 15%, in addition to agreements on other benefits.
Apart from that, the employees agreed to bring the issue of converting EPF to GPF to the board meeting and submit the proposal to the state government. They also agreed to use a single master scale for workers. In addition to workers, it was agreed to combine the individual wages of artisans with the basic wages. Additionally, employees agree that the GO will work with the state to adopt appropriate caps for the HRA and CCA. A total of about 18 employee demands were adopted by the government.

Earlier, the management of the power company conducted five rounds of negotiations with JAC, but they refused to accept the 6% renovation cost proposed by JAC. The employees demanded that the PRC be implemented from April 1, 2022, and also hoped that the management would solve issues such as craftsmen and provident funds.
The employees held a maha dharna in the city 20 days ago, demanding the same pay adjustments and other requirements as state government employees, such as pensions and GPF, for those recruited between 1999 and 2004. JAC Chairman P Saibabu, Convenor P Ratnakar Rao, Co-Convenors E Sridhar and BC Reddy attended the meeting.
