Speaking to the media on Sunday morning, Owaisi said: “I have been saying that the BJP in Uttar Pradesh runs the government not by the rule of law but by the rule of the gun. The BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has played a role in this. There should be Supreme Court oversight investigation and set up a committee. No officials from Uttar Pradesh should be on the committee. This is a ‘cold-blooded’ murder.” He further said, “I am ready to die…need to stop radicalization. I Will definitely go to Uttar Pradesh, I am not afraid. Jab pyaar kiya toh darna kya (Why be afraid of death when you are loved). Owaisi called the incident a “cold blood murder” and added that those who celebrated the killing It’s “Vulture”.
“How did they (the murderers) get these weapons?…Why did they hold up religious slogans after killing them? What would you call them if they weren’t terrorists? Would you call them patriots? Celebrate this event Everyone is a vulture…” he said.
Owaisi said the incident raised a big question about the security situation.

Now tell me about the state where you are a member of Congress. After yesterday’s incident , every Indian citizen feels insecure and vulnerable.” Owaisi further called for the resignation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
“I demand the resignation of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the Supreme Court to form a team to investigate the matter. We also demand that all police officers present should be removed from their posts,” he said.
“Atik and his brother were detained by police. He was handcuffed. JSR (Jai Shri Ram) slogan was also raised. The killing of both is a failure of the yogi policing system. Those who celebrate encountering raj also cope responsible for this murder,” Owaisi added.
