Patna: A month after the pornographic video was shown on TV screens in Patna Junction, similar content was flashed on LED public awareness screens in Bhagalpur, sources said here on Tuesday.
The LED screen installed at Ambedkar Chowk near Bhagalpur railway station flashed vulgar content on Monday.
Soon, a large number of people gathered there, some took pictures of the news on their mobile phones and spread it on social media. The Bhagalpur district government took immediate action and removed the display boards and messages.
An investigation has revealed that Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation has offered Jeevan Jagriti Association a contract to beautify the city. It has installed LED displays in some parts of the city to let people know the traffic rules.
Each LED display panel is operated from the control room. Association president Ajay Kumar claimed it was hacked by someone. Therefore, vulgar information is displayed on the screen.
SHO Jawahar Prasad Yadav of Kotwali Police Station said: “We have registered the FIR for unknown persons on the application of Jeevan Jagriti Association Chairman Dr Ajay Kumar. It was hacked from another place. We are investigating the incident . No one has been arrested yet.”
Earlier on March 20, a pornographic video was played on the LED screens in Patna Junction, causing a huge commotion.
