Hyderabad: A teenage girl died and her father and sister were injured when their two-wheeler was hit by a recklessly driving truck in Langar Houz on Thursday night.
The victim was identified as Syed Nasreen Begum (18), a middle school student. Those injured were Syed Ghouse (48), a construction worker, and Syed Nameera Begum (10), a sixth grade student and resident of Tolichowki Brundavan Colony.
Police said the accident happened while the three were traveling from Langar Houz to their home.
The truck driver, Venkataiah, who was traveling at high speed, allegedly lost control of the steering and hit the two-wheeler from behind.
The three fell to the road, Nasreen died instantly, while her father and sister escaped with injuries.
Langar Houz police opened a case and detained the truck driver.
