San Francisco: Telegram Messenger has received a major upgrade to its app, adding shareable chat folders, custom wallpapers, and more.
According to the company, the new update will allow users to share entire chat folders with a single link, create custom wallpapers for individual chats, use web apps in any chat, and more.
Now share chat folders via link, invite friends and colleagues to join dozens of workgroups, news channel favorites, and more.
With just one tap, users can add that folder and instantly join all their chats.
“You can include any public chat, and any chat where you have admin rights to add people,” Telegram said in a blog post.
Now your favorite photo and color combination can become a “custom wallpaper” in a specific chat, giving the conversation a personality and standing out.
You can set a custom wallpaper in any one-on-one chat.
To change your wallpaper, go to the chat header and click “Set Wallpaper” on Android, or open your profile and click “Change Wallpaper” on iOS.
In addition, Telegram is also developing “better bots”.
The latest update includes the integration of a seamless web app that can be launched in any chat.
Not only can these bots be accessed via private or group chat, but they can also be used collaboratively.
“The bot’s web application that supports this feature can be accessed via a direct link or by mentioning the bot’s username in any chat on Telegram,” the company said.
Among other features, the company has introduced bot links and Telegram Premium on Fragment, faster attachment scrolling, topic reading time, and an improved interface.
