Hyderabad: Telangana police on Monday detained Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Telangana Party (YSRTP) chairman YS Sharmila after she was seen manhandling some police officers during a protest.
Sharmila, the younger sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, is on her way to the office of the Special Investigations Team (SIT) to investigate alleged leaks of state government recruitment exam questions.

TSPSC canceled the March 5 Assistant Engineer (AE) exam on March 15 due to leaked exam papers.
Earlier on March 31, YS Sharmila was detained by the police before arriving at the Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) office in Hyderabad for a protest over the leaked paper.
The Telangana Police Special Investigation Unit investigating the leak of TSPSC exam papers has summoned the state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay. “SIT did not have the guts to issue a notice to BRS leaders in the test paper leak case,” Bandi Sanjay said, commenting on the summons issued by the Telangana Police Special Investigation Unit for the TSPSC test paper leak case.
SIT officials arrived at Sanjay’s residence in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on March 25 to inform him about the TSPSC leak. The SIT had summoned the earlier BJP Telangana chief to appear in court to answer questions about his claim that 50 people from the Jagitial district had been granted TSPSC qualifications.
