UoH Vice-Chancellor Professor BJ Rao congratulates the two researchers on their remarkable achievement

Hyderabad: University of Hyderabad (UoH) Faculty of Physics, Department of Chemistry, Center for Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences Professor Rajadurai Chandrasekar and UGC Assistant Professor Dr Vijay Kanawade have been awarded the prestigious SERB Science and Technology Research Award (SERB-STAR), sponsored by the Government of India SERB Established to recognize and reward outstanding performance by Principal Investigators (PIs) of SERB projects.
The support from SERB-STAR will consist of a monthly scholarship of Rs 15,000, an annual research grant of Rs 1 million and an annual management fee of Rs 100,000 for a period of three years.
UoH Vice-Chancellor Professor BJ Rao congratulated the two researchers on their remarkable achievement.
Prof. Chandrasekar has more than 115 publications and patents and he is listed by Stanford University as one of the top 2% of scientists in the world (Nanoscience and Technology).
Dr. Vijay Kanawade has published more than 57 articles and is working to improve understanding at the process level of the formation and growth of new atmospheric particles, which have implications for air quality, weather and climate, according to a press release.
