Angels: A Canadian actor named Saint Von Colucci has died at a young age after undergoing surgery to look like K-pop supergroup BTS singer Jimin.
Saint Von Colucci died at a South Korean hospital on Sunday morning, April 23, after complications from cosmetic surgery he suffered months earlier. According to aceshowbiz.com, he is only 22 years old.
Von Colucci spent $220,000 on 12 plastic surgeries so he could play the K-pop star on an American streaming network, according to his publicist. On Saturday night, he underwent surgery to remove his jaw implants, which will be placed in November 2022.
He became infected with the implant and due to complications he was intubated but died hours later.
His publicist Eric Blake told the Daily Mail that Von Colucci moved to South Korea from Canada in 2019 to enter the music industry. His publicist said that he was an intern at one of the top three entertainment companies in Korea at the time.
“It’s very tragic, very unfortunate,” said Black, who has been working with the young actor since March 2022. Blake shared that the 6-foot, 182-pound von Colucci, with dark blond hair and blue eyes, was “very insecure about his appearance.”
“He was very insecure about his appearance,” Blake explained. “He has a square jaw and chin, he doesn’t like the shape of it because he thinks it’s too wide, he wants a V shape, which is the shape of a lot of Asians.”
He said Von Colucci had 12 cosmetic procedures in the past year, including jaw surgery, implants, facelifts, rhinoplasty, eye lifts, eyebrow lifts, lip reductions and other minor procedures. Blake says his clients know how risky chin implants are because they reshape your natural chin and put implants in it, but he still wants it.
Black said the young actor was “very dissatisfied with his appearance”. Wange is hopeful, he added, “He’s very insecure about his face. It’s hard for him to get a job in Korea, and he feels discriminated against for his Western looks.”
The Canadian actor began filming the Korean drama “Beautiful Lies” in June and finished filming in December. As an international student, he played one of the main roles.
