Nalgonda: Miryalaguda Police smashed an IPL cricket betting racket and arrested nine people in Miryalaguda.
Those arrested were Bantu Rajesh (20 years old), Kola Sai Kumar (29 years old), S Uday Kumar (34 years old), Bantu Santhosh (29 years old), Rachabanthi Jeevan (30 years old), Gandham Naveen from Mirja Laguda. Police Commissioner Apoorva Rao said that based on reports, police raided an apartment at Sai Datta’s flat in Mayurinagar, Miryalaguda, and found the nine individuals were operating an online IPL betting racket. Bantu Ramesh, who has been at the helm for the past three years, is the protagonist. He was able to access an online gambling platform and, with the help of other defendants, share the link with others who gambled.
Proceedings were brought against the defendant under Sections 3 and 4 of the TS Gaming Act.
