Mahababad: Police conducted a cordon and search operation in the town’s Sundaraiah Nagar on Sunday. The police seized 15 vehicles without valid documents and fined them for release.
They also filed two cases on the grounds of smuggling alcohol and seized Indian-made alcohol worth Rs 30,000. Police have also registered one case of illegal distilling of alcohol.
Two CIs, 6 SIs and 35 police officers participated in the search led by DSP during the morning hours.
Police are also emphasizing wearing helmets and being vigilant about cybercrime. Locals were also urged to come forward and install CCTV cameras.
