Bangalore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his attacks on Congress on Wednesday, saying the party’s ruling government had unleashed terrorists and slandered the country globally.
Addressing a massive public rally in Mulki near the town of Moodabidri in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district, Prime Minister Modi said: “A few years ago, in Rajasthan, 50 people were killed in a bomb blast. You imagine a big conspiracy against the country. But the Congress government and the police let the criminals out of jail. No punishment.
“Appeasement is the only identity of Congress. You want them to rule this state? Let Karnataka be ruined? Whichever state wants to progress and prosper, they will drive Congress out first. If there is peace in society , there will be no peace in Congress. If the country is progressing, Congress cannot tolerate it.
“Congress has a divide and rule policy. Karnataka has seen its horrible face. They are rescuing terror suspects and releasing them.
“I dreamed of taking the country’s economy from the current fifth to the third. Without Karnataka, I couldn’t achieve it. Before India became the fifth largest economy, no one noticed it. We are over the rule India for 250 years and Britain that made us slaves. That’s what Modi government can do,” Prime Minister Modi said.
While highlighting the government’s achievements, Prime Minister Modi said, “Today, children in every city and town are talking about the G20 summit. The G20 meeting is being held in small cities across the country. One of the agendas of the G20 is women-led development.
“The BJP wants Karnataka to be the number one state in terms of development. What does Congress want? They want to make Karnataka an ATM for a family in New Delhi. 85% cut in state programs. People of Karnataka should also be cautious about Congress and JD(S).”
PM Modi called on first-time voters to vote for BJP to build their cause and shape the future of the country. “If you elect an unstable government, your career becomes unstable. Congress is the enemy of peace, and investors flee states ruled by Congress,” he said.
“Our country respects the military. Congress feels sad. It insults our army, soldiers and army chiefs. While the whole world respects Indian democracy, Congress slanders the country all over the world,” Prime Minister Modi said.
