Grand celebration of ‘Sri Narasimha Jayanti’ at Hare Krishna Golden Temple
Hyderabad: Sri Narasimha Jayanthi celebrated with Maha Abhishekam and Swamyambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Mulavar along with Homa, Kalyanotsavam and Grand Abhishekam at Hare Krishna Golden Temple on Thursday. The celebration ends with Unjal Seva and Pallaki Utsavam.
Maha Abhishekam begins at 5.20 am on the auspicious Brahma Muhurta and is performed in accordance with the Veda Agama Shastras. In the evening, a grand 108 Kalasha Veishesha Abhishekam to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Utsavar deity is performed in Harinam sankirtan of Vedic mantras and devotees.
Other highlights of this festival include the opportunity for Vishesha Darshana of Swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy and devotees to take part in Unjala Seva and perform Jhulan to the Lord.
Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, chairman of the Hare Krishna Movement in Hyderabad, said during his special pravachan: “The Supreme Personality of Godhead Krishna appeared as Lord Narasimha to protect His boy devotee Bhakta Prahlada from the demon Hiranyakasipu. “
