New Delhi: Next week, Google will unveil its first foldable phone, the Pixel Fold, ushering in a new era of smartphones in the company’s history.
The Pixel Fold will be announced on May 10 during the Google I/O 2023 event.
The company didn’t reveal too many details, but released a short teaser video showing off the full-size outer screen on the phone, which opens in a similar way to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold.
The camera strip on the back of the Pixel Fold is almost similar to other Pixel devices.
“The first foldable phone designed by Google. Keep me up to date on devices, news, tips and deals from the Google store – including the new Pixel Fold,” reads a short description on Google’s online store.

According to reports, the Pixel Fold is likely to be a 5.8-inch phone that folds up to be a 7.6-inch tablet.
It will reportedly be powered by a Google Tensor G2 processor and could cost more than $1,700.
Earlier, well-known leaker Evan Blass posted some leaked images on Twitter showing a large screen on the outside and an even bigger screen on the inside, marking a major advance in foldable display technology.
According to reports, the phone may feature a 9.5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP selfie camera on the inner display, and it will also be IPX8 water-resistant and come with USB type-C 3.2 gen 2.
The new device may be available in two colors – Ceramic and Obsidian (black).
