Kota Gooden: Two Maoists were reportedly killed in an exchange of fire between police and Maoists in the Cherla mandal in the area on Sunday.
The incident occurred in the Puttapadu forest in Mandal, on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border, when Greyhounds were conducting a search operation.

Cherla LOS Commander Rajesh and Chetna Natya Mandali (CNM) Commander Nanda are said to have been killed in the encounter. A DSLR camera and other materials were recovered from the scene, the source said.
