Visakhapatnam: CPI (Marxist) politburo member BV Raghavulu on Sunday denounced the center’s failure to take action against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who allegedly sexually harassed wrestler, calling for the immediate arrest of the BJP MP.
Speaking to media sources here, he said that while the wrestlers were protesting in the center of the capital, the central government did not seem to care. He noted that while some athletes have expressed solidarity with the protesters, it is regrettable that some prominent sports personalities have remained silent on the matter, noting that the case was only registered against the BJP leader at the direction of the court and that the Center did not respond to its own complaint. .
On the issue of the Visakhapatnam steel mill, Raghavulu said the center was determined and determined to drive the mill to the brink of bankruptcy in order to privatize it. He observed that 10 of the 29 bids to buy steel mills were foreign companies and wanted to make public the conditions set for them. “We are against privatization, they are losing the opportunity to get working capital from SAIL,” he said.
The CPM leader said it was regrettable that the public sector company was not allocated to the mine and lamented that the Polavaram project was in trouble. He said all political parties in Andhra Pradesh were keen to draw closer to the Modi government, while state BJP chief Somu Veerraju was now lavishing praise on the YSR Congress government after calling for charges against it. “We will work hand in hand with parties that want to defeat the BJP,” he said.
