Sidi Pate: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now Bharat Rashtra Samithi) activists burned a portrait of BJP MLA M Raghunandan Rao in Thoguta Mandal on Wednesday after MLA allegedly made abusive remarks to Finance Minister T Harish Rao while speaking to the media in Munugode.
Party chairman Jeedipally Ram Reddy said Raghunandan Rao must respect staunch leaders such as Harish Rao. While Harish Rao was elected to Assembly six times in a row with a huge majority by the people of Siddipet, Reddy said Raghunandan Rao was elected to Assembly only once, that too with a slender majority. Unless Harish Rao is respected in his constituency, Otherwise he wouldn’t have gotten so many votes, Reddy said.
Siddipet’s TRSV leader also condemned Raghunanandan Rao’s comments. TRSV district chairman Merugu Mahesh said the BJP MLA should have brought up what he had done in his constituency over the past few years instead of making such dirty comments. Mahesh said Harish Rao had developed the Siddipet constituency into a model constituency.
