Mysore: Congress leader Siddharamayah, encouraged by electoral trends in Karnataka, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s magic was not working in the state.
“I have declared that Prime Minister Modi’s magic will not work in Karnataka and the Congress party will gain more than 120 seats,” Siddaramaiah told reporters at his residence in Mysore.
He said the party did not need the support of any other political establishment and would form a government on its own.
He further stated that his rival, Housing Minister V. Somanna will lose in two constituencies. Somanna is competing with Varuna seat for Siddaramaiah and Chamarajanagar seat.
