Yuma: Two people were killed and five others were injured in a shooting at a community rally in Arizona, police said Sunday.
The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday in the southwestern city of Yuma, Yuma police spokesman Sgt. Lori Franklin. She said the investigation was ongoing, but no suspects had been arrested.
It was not immediately clear what motivated the shooting, but Franklin said there was no remaining threat to the community.
Franklin said officers headed to the rally after reports of a serious attack. When they arrived, they found seven people with gunshot wounds.
Two men, ages 19 and 20, were pronounced dead at Yuma Hospital and a 16-year-old boy was airlifted to Phoenix Hospital with serious injuries, she said.
Four boys, ages 15-19, are being treated at Yuma Regional Medical Center and their lives are not believed to be life-threatening.
