Shubman Gill’s sparkling century helps Gujarat Titans beat Hyderabad Sunrise by 34 runs

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Titans beat the Hyderabad Sunrises by 34 points in their Indian Premier League campaign to qualify for the play-offs on Monday.
Shubman Gill scored a scintillating century before Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s superb five-wicket stoppage stopped GT at nine for 188. With the ball in hand, GT limited SRH to 154 for nine overs.
Heinrich Klaasen topped the SRH score with 44 balls for 64, while Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma took four wickets each for the hosts. Invited to bat first, GT lost a duck to Wriddhiman Saha, but Gill struck 101 off 58 balls to help his side build a solid platform. The duo of Gill and Sai Sudharsan added 147 runs to GT’s innings with 47 off 36 balls, powering the second wicket.
For SRH, experienced seamer Bhuvneshwar finished with figures of 5/30, including taking three wickets in a brilliant final with Hook GT.
