New Delhi: Panic gripped a school in the capital after a bomb threat was received via email on Tuesday morning, Delhi police officials have told Reuters.
After receiving the news, Delhi Police and other teams rushed to Amrita School in Pushp Vihar and launched a thorough search operation.
“The school was thoroughly inspected by the bomb disposal team (BDT) but nothing was found,” DCP South Chandan Chowdhary said.
Investigations are ongoing, according to Delhi Police.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Rajesh Deo, information was received yesterday about a bomb threat email received by DPS Mathura Road.
“The police and bomb squad arrived at the school. It turned out the email was from a student. 2 bomb squads, along with dogs and local staff, searched the school manually but found nothing suspicious, it was a prank call,” he said. added.
Upon arrival at the school, “police checked the school’s computer system/mail and found that the email had been received around 6:17pm on Thursday,” the official said. Through technical investigations, we learned that the email address belonged to a student, the student refused to send the email,” the official said.
