Barelli: In a shocking incident, two underage boys, aged 14 and 16, have brutally murdered their 14-year-old friend after competing with a girl for her friendship.
The victim’s body was found in a forested area with 10 stab wounds.
According to reports, the murder took place in a village in the Aonla district of Bareilly. The victim was a student in Class 8.
He and two of his school buddies had a friendship with a 13-year-old girl. One of the two defendants had recently passed the Class 10 exam.
On 15 May, the victim left home to meet his friend, but did not return. His body was found in a forested area the next morning.
An autopsy revealed multiple stab wounds, including a throat slit, were inflicted with a sharp object.
His father filed an FIR listing two of his son’s friends as suspects.
Additional SP (Rural) Rajkumar Agarwal said: “The girl was a mutual friend of the three boys but the victim was closer to her. So the two boys decided to get rid of him. We found the murder weapon – a knife – The accused boy has been sent to juvenile detention.”
