Hyderabad: To ensure effective identification of various prohibited luggage items and suspicious vehicles, the newly inaugurated DR. BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat has installed eight advanced X-ray scanners and under-vehicle scanning systems.
These X-ray baggage inspection systems and under vehicle scanning systems are designed and developed in India. With this, baggage checks and entry vehicle checks will be safer and more thorough, even if checks are faster.
Vehant Technologies, a pioneer in artificial intelligence and machine learning-based surveillance, has installed eight Kritiscan 6040 scanners to scan luggage, according to a press release. Using 3D technology, these luggage scanners are very accurate and provide the operator with an isometric view of the scanned luggage by generating a three-dimensional image of the object.
Four under-vehicle scanning systems have also been installed, through which all vehicles arriving at the premises are thoroughly checked. With this technology, the system captures the vehicle’s chassis number, license plate number and the driver’s face as it passes the scanner.
“With these security systems, luggage and vehicles can be easily checked day and night, and they are able to work in any weather conditions,” said Kapil Bardeja, CEO and co-founder of Vehant Technologies.
