Hyderabad: On Thursday, detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Telangana arrested two interstate property offenders who had been on the run for 29 years.
Kavadi Ravi alias Eakala Pedda Ravi was involved in a case of hooliganism reported at Chegunta Police Station and another case at RC Puram Police Station in 1990. Another individual, Mekala Katamaiah, was involved in property crimes reported in 1990 in RC Puram. However, both have absconded since the case was registered and three non-bailable arrest warrants are pending.
A special team from the Criminal Investigation Department arrested them at Chigurumanapeta, Dhone police station, Nandyal district, Andhra Pradesh. The team is headed by Police Inspector G. Murali Kumar.
