Hyderabad: YouTube is making a big change, introducing 30-second non-skippable ads on Connected Television (CTV) YouTube Select in the US.
Users will now see one 30-second ad video instead of two 15-second ads without a skip button.If users want to avoid this 30-second non-skippable ad, they should be a premium subscriber
YouTube is also rolling out a new video pausing feature. The video will zoom out and ads will appear next to it when it stops.
The video can be resumed by pressing the play button, or the ad can be dismissed and the viewer can be returned to the paused screen.
YouTube plans to launch an “NFL Creator of the Week” YouTube short series on the NFL Channel later this year.
YouTube is testing a feature that prevents ad-blocking users from watching videos unless they allow ads or pay for YouTube Premium.
