Mumbai: Actor Nitesh Pandey, who played the role of Dheeraj Kumar in the highest-rated TV show ‘Anupamaa’, has died at the age of 51 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The actor suffered a severe cardiac arrest late on Tuesday night in Igatpuri, near Nashik, reports said. He immediately succumbed to the same.
Nitesh started his theater journey in 1990. In 1995, he played a detective in “Tejas”. He went on to work in serials such as “Manzilein Apani Apani”, “Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani”, “Saaya” and “Durgesh Nandini”.
In addition to television, he also works in film. He was widely admired for his work in the national award-winning film “Khosla Ka Ghosla”. He also starred in “Om Shanti Om” and “Badhaai Do”.
He also worked on the TV show “Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara” and also runs an independent production company called Dream Castle Productions.
Nitesh, who was last seen in “Anupamaa” and “Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara”, hails from Almora Kumaon in Uttarakhand and has been a popular face in the television industry for more than two decades.
Now, his actor and wife Arpita Pandey (Arpita Pandey) is alive.
The two met on the TV show “Justajoo” before marrying in 2003.
Nitesh was earlier married to actress Ashwini Kalsekar.
