Leading Office Furniture Manufacturer Steelcase Opens Flagship Dealer Showroom at 45 Jubilee Hills Road
Hyderabad: Post covid, there is a strong emphasis on flexible working models, working hours and furniture. With many companies sticking to a work-in-the-office (WFO) culture, management is looking for some hybrid workstations for its employees.
While those continuing the work-from-home (WFH) model are opting for stylish or custom-made desks for comfort and flexibility.
To meet these demands, leading office furniture manufacturer Steelcase opened its flagship dealer showroom on Friday at 45 Jubilee Hills Road.
As most insurers are perpetuating the WFH culture, some IT, professional services, banking and local companies have turned to WFO. Uli Gwinner, president of Steelcase Asia Pacific, said here on Friday that management has realized that employee productivity is not meeting expectations and that company culture is being affected.
The focus now is on smart working solutions for management and their employees. Stationary desks are a thing of the past, with dedicated workstations, phone booths and enclaves offering more places for focus and privacy. Within the space available, management is looking at hybrid meeting rooms and flexible team spaces to accommodate work needs, he said.
“We offer hybrid conference rooms that can be installed and uninstalled in as little as three hours. There are furniture designed for breakout areas and social spaces within the office,” says Steelcase Managing Director (India) Tirthankar Basu. “
After Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi are the main markets for Steelcase, which has a manufacturing facility in Pune.
