New Delhi: The maritime phase of the second bilateral exercise ‘Al Mohed Al Hindi 23’ between the Indian Navy and the Royal Saudi Navy (RSNF) has been successfully conducted, officials said on Saturday.
The exercise was held in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, from May 23-25.
“INS Tarkash, Subhadra and Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) participated in the exercise from the Indian side. RSNF was represented by HMS Badr and Abdul Aziz, MH 60R helicopter and drone,” the Indian Navy said.
The three-day maritime exercise saw a wide range of maritime operations. It ends with a debrief at sea, followed by the traditional steam past, officials said.
They said the successful implementation of “Al Mohed Al Hindi 23” demonstrated a high level of professionalism, interoperability and exchange of best practices between the two navies.
They said the bilateral exercise met all objectives and both sides intend to upgrade to a more advanced exercise in the next edition.
