Hyderabad: Heatwave-like conditions continued to plague the people of Hyderabad on Monday despite the easing in the form of scattered showers.
Several districts including Dilsukhnagar, Amberpet, Ramanthapur, Chaitanyapuri and Saroornagar have experienced welcome showers, providing a brief respite from the scorching summer heat.
However, several other districts such as Kapra, Serilingampally, Kukatpally, Khairatabad and Patancheru recorded temperatures ranging from 40.4 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius. IMD Hyderabad reported an overall maximum temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius in Hyderabad on Monday.

A mixed weather pattern characterized by scattered storms and intense heat persists not only in the city but elsewhere. The forecast suggests the city will experience similar conditions by Wednesday, leaving residents with a combination of sporadic storms and sweltering heat.
Looking ahead, the India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad (IMD-H) is forecasting a change in weather patterns from June 1.
The rain is expected to subside, making way for extreme heat in the region.
This transition to higher temperatures is expected to continue through mid-June across the state. Unfortunately, the arrival of the monsoon is also expected to be delayed, exacerbating the heat.
