Research: Nine people, including minors, have been injured following a mass shooting on Hollywood Boulevard in Florida, according to media reports.
The mass shooting occurred Monday night in the 1200 block of N Broadwalk. At least three of the shooting victims who were taken to area hospitals were minors, CBS News reported.
At 6.41pm, live cameras in one area showed people frantically fleeing the scene.
Citing Hollywood officials, the outlet said the incident began with an argument between the two groups, which escalated into a shooting.
One person has been taken into custody and police are currently looking for a second person.
The circumstances of the shooting victim are not yet known.
“Thank you to the well-wishers, paramedics, police officers and emergency room doctors and nurses for their immediate response to help the victims of today’s shooting,” Hollywood Mayor Josh Levy said in a statement.
